April 6: The Little Big Children’s Theater has opened its first production, a fun and joyful presentation of Aesop’s Fables. The cast plays various roles in a wide selection of Aesop’s wonderful stories with a moral. Beginning with an audience participation sing-along, the show for 3- to 8-year-olds has as much humor for adults as it does for the children. Aesop’s Fables is brought to you by JoeBob Productions, who also brought you the late Dr. John Glick’s Can’t Feel at Home, the story of displacement from the Blue Ridge Mountains in the 1930s. April 14: Shenandoah University Dayton Alumni Reunion 9 to 11:30 a.m. The Memorial Service will also feature choral music accompanied by the 1927 Moller four manual pipe organ. Shenandoah College and Conservatory of Music was in Dayton through 1960 when the institution relocated to Winchester, Va. The Dayton-era Alumni Reunion is held each Spring in “the old college church” where music recitals, concerts, and even the school graduations were held. This event is open to the public.
