Spring Bazaar
Enfield, Conn. – The Women’s Guild of St. Jeanne Jugan Parish is holding “It’s Spring Bazaar” on Saturday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Holy Family Church Hall and Classrooms, 23 Simon Road. The event features a wide array of original work by 45 artisans and crafters. A teacup raffle and refreshments are additional features and admission is free. This fundraiser benefits both the members of the parish and the greater Enfield community.
Antique appraisal
Agawam – Feeding Hills Congregational Church, 21 North Westfield St., in the Feeding Hills section is hosting an antique appraisal on Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $5 an item or 3 for $12 with a three-item limit. All appraisals are verbal to give the owner an idea of value and a sense of history. Items should be small enough to be hand carried. No firearms or weapons of any kind. Feast of Divine Mercy
Chicopee – St. Stanislaus Basilica, 566 Front St., is inviting everyone to the Celebration of the Devine Mercy Sunday on April 7. Confessions will be heard from noon to 1 p.m., followed by Recitation of the Rosary at 1 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m., and the Divine Mercy Chaplet will be prayed at 3 p.m.
Spaghetti supper
Ludlow – St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Hubbard St., next monthly spaghetti supper will be held on Tuesday, April 9 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Pastoral Center. Adult tickets are $7, children under 10 are $4 and immediate family cap is $20.
Monthly Community Meal
Holyoke – United Congregation Church of Holyoke is serving a traditional Puerto Rican meal for its next monthly community meal on Friday, April 12 at 5 p.m. Bring the whole family, a family movie will immediately follow dinner at 6 p.m. The Community Meal is hosted on the second Friday evening of each month at the church at 300 Appleton St. All are welcome to attend, and the meal is free of charge. The menu changes monthly. Parents must accompany their children.
Tag sale
Chicopee – Holy Mother of the Rosary Church will hold a tag sale on Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rain or shine it will be held in the hall at 26 Bell St. There will be jewelry, clothing, shoes, dishes, glassware, books, CD’s, toys, tools, household items and much more. Baked goods and lunch will be served.

Springfield – South Congregational Church, an open and affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ in downtown Springfield, invites everyone to its regular worship services, Sundays at 10 a.m. in person at 45 Maple Street in Springfield or on Zoom. On Sunday, April 14, the church welcomes the Hot Cat Jazz Band to its annual Jazz Sunday service at 10 a.m. The band will perform upbeat jazz arrangements of familiar hymns as well as accompany the South Church Choir. You will experience their warm welcome, fine music program, and engaging coffee hour immediately following worship. Childcare is also available. Join the Bible Study group on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. on Zoom (use the Zoom worship link) — whether you are new to bible study or have a lifetime of experience, you are welcome. Other programs include regular knitting and quilting circles as well as an upcoming Lenten Book Group. In addition to church services and events, South is particularly engaged in the downtown community, and many public programs are offered in their spaces. Vacation Bible school
Dalton – Dalton United Methodist Church, 755 Main St., will host a Vacation Bible School from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, April 17 to 19. The program is titled “PandaMania: Where God is Wild About You!” and it is open to children ages 5-10.
Children will participate in games, learn Bible songs, enjoy snacks, listen to stories, and discover how to see evidence of God in everyday life. Children from any church are welcome, as are children who do not attend church but would like to learn more about God’s love.

Catholic Women’s Club of Agawam upcoming events
Agawam – Members of The Catholic Women’s Club of Agawam will present “A Night Of Fashion,” at the St. John the Evangelist Parish Center on Thursday, April 18, located at 833 Main St. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m., and models will wear fashions from Chico’s and J. Jill. Fruit, cheese, crackers and refreshments will be served. Door prizes and a raffle will take place. Tickets are $15 and can be reserved by contacting Paula at 413-537-1174 or praiche@comcast.net. Tables of 8 or 10 can be reserved. Proceeds will benefit the club’s annual scholarship.
Passover with LYA
Longmeadow – Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy, 1148 Converse St. is preparing a Seder-To-Stay and a Seder-To-Go. LYA is offering in-person Seder-To-Stay on Monday, April 22, which will begin with a pre-seder buffet of fish, salads and soup at 6:45 p.m. Following the food, there will be interactive Passover activities, stories, and songs, led by Rabbi Noach and Esther Kosofsky. This will lead into the start of the seder and kiddush, drinking the first cup of wine. The seder will be conducted at a slightly faster pace. A seder dinner will be served after the reading of the hagadah. Participants are welcome to attend the seder at LYA for as long as they wish.
The second seder night, Tuesday, April 23, will follow a more traditional format and will begin at 8:30 p.m., and end around 11 p.m. It will be led by Rabbi Chaim and Rochel Leah Kosofsky. The cost for a Seder-To-Stay is $18 an adult, $8 a child and $45 a family.
LYA is also preparing a Seder-To-Go with pick-up on Monday, April 22, between 1 and 2 p.m. Each Seder-To-Go includes: seder plate and foods, laminated seder cards and kiddush cups. The seder meal will include gefilte fish/salad, chicken soup, chicken, potato kugel, roasted vegetables, and dessert. Cost for the Seder-To-Go is $32 a person ($75 value) and you can order a bottle of Joyvin red for an additional $10. Reserve for your Seder-To-Stay or Seder-To-Go by Thursday, April 18. Pro-Life Breakfast
Holyoke – Pro-Life of Pioneer Valley will hold their 2024 Pro-Life breakfast on Saturday, April 27, from 10 a.m. to noon at Wyckoff Country Club, 233 Easthampton Road. Tickets are $30 per person. Bus trip
Springfield – St. Catherine of Siena, 1023 Parker St., presents a bus trip to see the Woosox play Rochester on Sunday, June 9 at 1:05 p.m. The bus leaves the church’s parking lot at 11 a.m. Reserved covered seating behind third base. Sunday services
Agawam – Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main St., invites the community to Sunday morning services at 10 a.m. On the first Sunday of every month communion is served with bread and grape juice or with individually packaged wafer and grape juice. Following all Sunday services, there is a Friendship gathering in the church hall. Coffee, tea, and water are served along with various goodies and packaged treats. Juice is, also, available, especially, for children in attendance. Children can, also, visit the “Mural Room” where many animals are painted floor to ceiling on an entire wall. Additional adoration times
Agawam – St. John the Evangelist Church, 833 Main St. will offer weekly adoration ceremonies on Wednesdays between noon and 5:30 p.m. The Holy Mass takes place at 6 p.m. Lawn signs are available for Agawam residents announcing the Year of the Eucharist. Free weekly Veterans lunch
