4. Priest or Brahmin then perform Pitru Tarpan and offer food to Brahmin.
5. Give him Clothes and Dakshina and the male member of the family must touch his feet and seek blessings.
6. Performing hawna or yajna on this day is also considered auspicious.
7. Organise Pitru Gayatri on this day also removes Pitru Dosha.
8. Feeding dogs, crows, ants is also one of the main part of the ritual.
